I love the wisdom, and love of Mahatma Gandhi. I have so many favorites.
Here is one of all time favorite quotes from Gandhi, "I love your Christ. I don't like your Chritians, because they're not like Christ."
All the Best to you,
StJ-
"i believe in equality for everyone, except reporters and photographers" "you must be the change you want to see in the world" "an eye for an eye makes the world go blind"
These are my favourie quotes from M.K.GANDHI
Number fifteen is a tall order, impossible to execute. Extremely sorry about that, but how can a mere mortal love the sinner?
The one about CHRIST and christians mentioned by St James is brilliant! :)
Anyways, "JAI HIND!" I do not know what that means, but I am certain that it is complementary. :)
Hi, CW- Thought I'd stop by for a quick look before I went to bed, :). Good quotes!I actually wrote some lesson plans for a company in Seatte on Ghandi--freelance work.... I'd say you got a fair response, yes? I'm not too worried about mine.
can i add one more? i am compelled to do so because it is my favourite Gandhi quote - the nearest to my heart!
"A coward is incapable of exhibiting love; it is the prerogative of the brave"
btw, #s 1 and 13 are the same. thanks for sharing these, Gandhi was truly a great man - great isn't even enough to describe him :D
Just found this great hub tonight. I love Ghandi and often quote him. I would love to add this hub to my latest one about peace, if its okay with you. Would blend in beautifully.
My favorite quote is: . "We must be the change we wish to see". Words of true wisdom.
Off to sleep. Would be cool if I dreamt with of talking to Socrates or a Ghandi. :)
I added this hub to my mine, it blends in perfectly. Thanks! No luck didn't dream with Socrates or Ghandi yet. :)
It's a nice thing to show this world, thanks for the hub with Mahatma's quotations. Thumbs up CW!!
CW: Wanted to stop by again, and what better hub than one of Ghandi, to wish you a very Happy New Year filled with continuing love and peace!
Your presence in Hubpages is a very positive one, and I am glad to have met you here in Hubpages.
P.S. I did link Lita's hub to mine.

Gandhi is a legend he showed many things in his life for the rest to follow , for a peaceful and violence free world. Everyone must read his autobiography which is very much available in all leading books stores all over the world. During 1930's in a meeting at Madurai in south India he was shocked to see many people were without shirts as they are all poor who could not afford to buy, he immediatly quit wearing shirts such a great heart he was. thankyou for this hub it really makes india proud.
Hari baskar
Actually he was one of my favorite prophets. Imagine stopping war through none-resistance? That's a feat "not" to be undermined!
enough cannot be said of this man. I wish I could as passive and forgiving, too much fire in me still I guess.
I see you are still getting comments with this hub-that's a good sign, methinks. Folks interested in peace. By the way, I found a new hubber who wrote an interesting, positive hub with a fable that I liked! Thought I would share here; guess I am being promotional. hehe. Do you notice we both have the same cyber laugh? LOL!
"We must be the change we wish to see." Thanks for the wonderful words of wisdom!
These quotes are so appropriate for our current social climate. We all need to work together and maintain hope. There is a silver lining to every situation.
If more people could only learn to forgive & live without judgement or expectation..."The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong."
Love it. Thank you for sharing!
great man like him has inspired me to rise high in life.........
for him i would like to say that ...
life of great man all remind us we can make our life sublime and departing sand leave behind us footprint on the sand of time.......
"Permanent good can never be the outcome of untruth and violence," is my favorite Gandhi quote. I've admired him for many years, and enjoyed the movie "Gandhi" and also "Nine Hours to Rama," an excellent movie about his assassination. Martin Luther King made use of his tactics, I think, in seeking justice here in America.
Mahatma Gandhi is great hero of India.
"Where there is love there is life. " M. Gandhi. Amazing Hub...Love all the Quotes as well as all the responses...It is so true that in these time we need more people who think like Mahatma Gandhiji (BAPU) WE MISS U! God Bless!

Wonderful quotes from a Great man, thanks. I love this quote by Jimi Hemdrix, "When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace." Shimla
countrywomen,
I must say, this hub was truly a treasure hunt! Mahatma Gandhi is my ideal, my "Guru", I've learned a lot from his autobiography "The Story of My Experiments with Truth." He was one in the millions; a rare gem. I salute his truthfulness, his simplicity, his briiliant sense of humour, his love towards humanity and his non-violent agitations. He was a great human being on earth. He taught us 'ahimsa' (non-violence), 'satyagraha' (thuthfulness). I admire him a lot. Very well researched on his quotes, felt apolaustic =)
Mahatma Gandhi is the Angel of PEACE. He is international Hero for Non Violence and Peace. We should follow his ideology to bring PEACE throuhgout the world.
gandhi was a Man with Great Determinitation, His nature and commitment towards truth was excellence, Gandhi ne kaha "Mai aise Bharat ke Nirmaan Ke liye Kaarya Karoonga, Jahan har gareeb vyakti yah anubhav kare ki yah usaka apana desh hai, jisake nirmaan me usaki bhi prabhavshali bhumika hai, aisa bharat jaha na koi bada hoga na chhota, aisa bharat jaha sabhi samudaay ke log maitripurna bhav se rah sake"
"Mahatma Gandhi"
